Hi I'm Eliza!
I'm a registered nurse and have been working in labor and delivery since 2007! Being present with mothers as they birth their babies has been my greatest joy. In my years as a nurse I have realized the power women have in the way they were created to birth. My role is to educate, encourage and empower mothers to do what their bodies were created to do.
Did you know that the hospital staff work for you? That means you have the ability to say no to anything offered or suggested or even dictated to you. You have the final say over what happens in your birth.
I have seen far to many times a cascade of events initiated by the medical staff where one thing leads to another and pretty soon you and your baby are in an emergency and are "saved" from the what was caused. Is there a place for emergency interventions?? Absolutely! But the innate ability of the mother and baby to birth has been ignored and too many times emergencies could have been avoided.
I am filling the gap I see for women wanting or needing to birth in the hospital but desire to do it on their own terms, educated, encouraged and empowered to do what they were created to do, birth their babies well.
I would love to come alongside you!
I offer:
- Preconception Consultations
- Pregnancy Education
- Birth Advocacy
- Labor Support
- Postpartum Support
Every woman should feel educated to make decisions best for her and her baby, encouraged to birth exactly how she wants, and empowered to know and trust her intuition and her body.
Educated - Encouraged - Empowered

I'd love to chat, hear your story, find out what you desire from your pregnancy and birth. I'd also love to share more of what I offer. Book a 15 minute consultation here! My gift to you.

What others are saying:
”Where to begin? At 40 weeks I arrived at the hospital with extremely high blood pressure. I was told I was going to need to be induced for the safety of myself as well as my baby. The unknown of how my labor would proceed from that moment made me feel very anxious and nervous. That is until Eliza walked into my hospital room. Her demeanor, eye contact, gentle touch, and reassuring words made me feel at peace almost immediately and I knew then she had been heaven sent. As cliche’ as it may sound I believe that with every fiber of my being. Throughout my birth experience she was my nurse through the whole time I labored and up until the point I delivered my precious baby girl. Throughout my labor Eliza made me feel empowered to have the birth experience I so desperately desired. She helped me physically and emotionally with some of the toughest parts of labor but also gave me space to labor with my sister and husband (my support system). She encouraged and taught my husband and sister effective ways in which they could better support me throughout my labor while having the utmost consideration. I believe I had the best birth experience I could have had and one of the biggest reasons is because Eliza was/is such an incredibly attentive, kind and caring L&D nurse. One of the most special moments to me was when the time came for Eliza’s shift to end she decided to stay and watch my daughter be born. This was incredibly special to me especially given that she already worked for 12 hours and has 5 children at home. She truly does go above and beyond in every way and has others' best interest at heart. Not only was she my labor and delivery nurse, I now have the immense honor to call her my friend. I couldn’t have had the birth I had without her and I am forever grateful!"
